Overview
To enhance security while maintaining flexibility, you can now add custom reply-to email addresses to your events through a simple verification process. This guide walks you through adding and verifying new reply-to email addresses in your GEVME account.
Adding a New Reply-To Email Address
1. Navigate to Your Organizer Profile
Go to your profile and locate the Reply-To Email field.
2. Add a New Email Address
- Enter the email address you want to use in the “Add a New Reply-To Email” textbox.
- Click the “+ Add” button.
3. What Happens Next?
- A verification email will be sent to the added address.
- The email address will appear in your dropdown list as “Unverified.”
- You have 24 hours to complete the verification process.
Verifying Your Email Address
Step 1: Check Your Inbox
- Open the inbox of the email address you added.
- Look for a verification email from Gevme (From: [email protected]).
Step 2: Click the Verification Link
- Open the email and click the verification link.
Step 3: Confirmation
- A confirmation message will appear once verification is successful.
Step 4: Finalize Verification
- Go back to your organizer profile and click the refresh button.
- The email will now appear as “Verified” and can be used as a reply-to email for all your emails sent from GEVME.
If You Did Not Receive the Verification Email
- Select the unverified email address in your profile.
- Click the “Resend Verification” button.
- Follow the verification steps above to complete the process.
Important Notes
Time Limits
- Verification links expire after 24 hours.
- You can request up to 5 verification emails per hour.
Email Management
- Each email address can only be added once.
- Verified email addresses remain permanently in your dropdown list.
- Verified addresses can be used across all your events.
Troubleshooting
Common Error Messages
“You have exceeded the number of allowed verification attempts.”
- Wait 1 hour before trying again, or
- Contact our support team at [email protected].
Expired Verification Links
- Return to your organizer profile.
- Click the “Resend Verification” button.
- A new verification email will be sent.
